Jean Alexander is proud enough of her Teamster affiliation that she included it in what she calls her “life story.”

“I’ve got about 30 tattoos and they tell the story of my life. When I became a shop steward, I got this one,” she said, referring to the Local 117 tattoo she got a few years ago. As an employee at steward at United Natural Foods, Alexander is a member of Local 117 in Tukwila, Washington. She has been a Teamster for 15 years
